SURGICAL COORDINATOR
Angelina joined Dr. Russo’s practice in 2017 and is an expert in managing and coordinating your treatments and surgical procedures. Angelina started as a medical assistant for a surgical practice in Wichita, KS, her hometown. When Angelina moved to the East Coast, she sought a career that combined her passions for helping people feel better about themselves with skincare and aesthetics. Angelina works with Dr. Russo’s patients from their initial consultations, surgery, and follow-ups. She is very informed and experienced in coordinating all of your needs. Angelina is often trialing new skincare products, so be sure to ask her what her favorites are!
NURSE PRACTITIONER
Brittani is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and educator specializing in Aesthetic Medicine. She is a member of our Surgical Team and Cosmetic Center, as well as an injectables trainer for Dr. Russo’s School, Aesthetic Mentor. Known for her thorough, honest, and educational consultation, Brittani’s goal is to provide natural results meant to rejuvenate, enhance and complement each patient. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston College and has been chosen as a Faculty Assistant for Allergan Medical Institute’s Accelerate Program.
SURGICAL TECHNICIAN AND LICENSED ESTHETICIAN
Carmel is the surgical technician who assists Dr. Russo in the operating room. She has been working with Dr. Russo for over 20 years, has had many roles in the medical field, and now focuses solely on plastic surgery. She is a licensed esthetician and has certifications in surgical technology and sterilization. Carmel is an expert at making everyone laugh.
NURSE ANESTHETIST
Dr. Elaine Sullivan, DNP, MHL, CRNA, serves as the plastic surgery anesthesia division director for ICON Anesthesia of New England. Elaine is a graduate of Northeastern University, Brown University, and the University of Alabama. She has specialized in anesthesia for outpatient plastic surgery for over 20 years and is a consultant for setting up and accreditation of office-based operating rooms for plastic surgeons. She has worked with Dr. Russo for the past four years and is actively involved in policy creation and maintaining the AAAASF accreditation of the office.
MANAGING PARTNER & NURSE
Julie Kamin Russo got her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northeastern University and her MSW from Simmons College. She worked at Children’s Hospital in Boston, Pennsylvania Hospital, and Brigham and Women’s in Boston before taking time off to raise her family. Julie began working at the office of Joseph Russo, MD, in 2006, which rekindled her love of medicine and prompted her to go back to school to get her nursing degree. Julie graduated with highest honors at nursing school while working and training at the practice.
Today Julie is a Managing Partner at Joseph Russo, MD. Julie was also instrumental in developing the curriculum and securing accreditation at The Aesthetic Mentor (formally Aesthetic Institute of Massachusetts, an affiliate company that trains medical professionals in the art and science of aesthetic injectables). In addition, Julie is an affiliate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses. In her leisure time, Julie is often entertaining family and friends, cooking, and loving on her golden retrievers.
LICENSED MEDICAL AESTHETICIAN
Lindsey is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician of 13 years. She works with patients at Dr. Russo’s Cosmetic Center to develop medical-grade skincare routines and treatment plans to help patients meet their skincare goals, focusing on all things skincare and self-care, including facial and body treatments, chemical peels, collagen induction therapy, laser treatments, scalp care, and eyelash and eyebrow services. She specializes in marrying medical-grade treatments with relaxation techniques during facial treatments and loves finding the right customized skincare routine for patients.
Lindsey believes that in-office treatments are important for creating change and monitoring skin health. Still, she wants patients to understand so much of the success they will see comes from high-quality products and an at-home regimen.
She started her journey in aesthetics in 2009, working for a successful salon and spa for 7 years, transitioning to a multi-location Dermatology practice for four years and is proud to be a member of the team at Dr. Russo’s practice for the last two years. Lindsey is extremely excited to announce that she has been chosen as a member of the Allergan Medical Institute for DiamondGlow and SkinMedica for 2022/2023 and will be responsible for training other professionals, presenting at seminars, and leading aesthetic roundtables for DiamondGlow and SkinMedica for New England and Nationally. She is certified in DiamondGlow Face and Body, Hydrafacial Face, Body and Scalp, SkinMedica Chemical Peels and Product, SkinCeuticals Peels and Products, SkinBetter Products, VI Face and Body Peels, Clear and Brilliant Laser Treatment, XEO Laser and PicoSure Laser.
Lindsey was a competitive dancer through college and still enjoys dancing in her free time. She loves Pure Barre and OrangeTheory to stay fit. When not in the office, you can find her spending time with her husband and their golden retriever, listening to jazz, and cooking.
REGISTERED NURSE
Maddie Kamin, RN, is a nurse at Dr. Russo’s office who works with the surgical team. She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst for her bachelor's degree in public health and then pursued her BSN at Regis College. Maddie began working with Dr. Russo and the team during summer breaks in college and then full-time after graduating from nursing school. A true team player, present during all aspects of the patient experience, she assists Dr. Russo in non-surgical consultations and treatments, initial surgical consults, pre-op appointments, intraoperative care, post-op appointments, and follow-up appointments. Maddie is usually the first face you will see when waking up from surgery in our state-of-the-art recovery room/PACU.
Rachel completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and received her BSN from Northeastern University. She has been part of the Russo team for four years and even did an internship at the practice during high school. Rachel has an integral role in the surgical team and guides patients throughout their journey, whether surgical or non-surgical. She is a wealth of knowledge and is ever-present in the initial consult, pre-op counseling, circulating during surgery, and post-op care. Her patients often comment on her warm bedside manner and the support they receive from her. Rachel is also trained as a Botox injector and provider of energy-based treatments.
Lauren is a Registered Nurse here in Massachusetts. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Endicott College. From working in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to working full time at a Medical Spa in Boston, she decided to pursue her passion in both aesthetic and surgical nursing by joining the Russo Cosmetic team! Lauren is known for her warm bedside manner, along with her artistic, thorough, and natural work. Being the lead injector at her previous job, Lauren is excited to bring her talent and knowledge to the Dr. Russo team and help her clients feel and look their absolute best. In her spare time, she loves being active, enjoying good food, and spending time with friends and family.
BODY CONTOURING SPECIALIST AND MASTER AESTHETICIAN
Sabrina King is our Body Contouring Specialist and Master Aesthetician who works closely with patients by developing custom treatment plans to help them reach their goals. She is a licensed Aesthetician, Certified Dermatology Technician, and Certified Medical Assistant. Her specialties include fat reduction, skin tightening, and body smoothing and contouring, as well as anti-aging and prevention treatments.
She truly believes that by utilizing multiple modalities and creating a comprehensive treatment plan, she can achieve amazing results for all her patients. She takes pride in providing honest assessments and working with you to create treatment plans that will give you the best possible results.
Sabrina has over 17 years of experience and worked with some of the best Dermatologists in Boston. As she proclaims, she loves "all things skin" and teaches other Aestheticians and Nurses proper techniques and treatment plans to keep the industry thriving. When not at BYH or teaching, she enjoys always laughing with her amazing family, participating in new adventures, playing games, and pretending they’re movie critics. Their next adventure is cage diving with sharks!
LASER TECHNICIAN
Sheila has 30 years of experience helping patients build confidence by loving every inch of their skin! She began her career as an Electrologist in 1992 and was a student in Dr. Russo’s very first Laser class almost 23 years ago. Sheila strives to achieve optimal results for every one of her clients, working with an arsenal of devices to remove unwanted hair, erase hyperpigmentation and redness, and address anti-aging concerns.
Skin Rejuvenation is Sheila’s passion; she believes that beauty and young-looking skin begins with even skin tone. She has developed groundbreaking protocols using unique combinations of lasers designed to help achieve success for any skin type. Her goal is to promote healthy, younger-looking skin by using non-ablative skin lifting and tightening devices that slow the signs of aging and stimulate the production of collagen where it grows. Two of her favorites are Sofwave and Ulthera, which she believes are the best weapons to keep skin looking young with no downtime. Sheila also loves and relies on fractional and ablative lasers, which can help with skin tone, skin texture, fine lines, pigmentation, and so much more.
As a constant teacher, Sheila enjoys educating patients about the world of lasers and speaks of the benefit they will receive with one or many laser treatments. Patients will not only gain beautiful skin, but they will also come away with an understanding of the procedures. She thrives in being the first step in introducing clients to our fabulous world, and her results are among the best in the industry and can be seen at the first treatment. Sheila feels that her treatments are successful because she works with the best team of talented individuals with a common mission to bring out the natural beauty of YOU.
PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Arlene is the patient care coordinator on the first floor. She is the helpful voice on the other end of the phone when you call our office. She makes sure all of your appointments are scheduled correctly and all of your questions are answered. She likes to spend time with her niece and nephew on the weekends. You might see Arlene on the jumbotron at a Bruins game! She is a big hockey fan. Arlene is an LPN and has been a great addition to our first floor surgical staff.
Tatianna is the patient care coordinator for the second floor. She helps ensure patients have a positive experience from check-in to check-out. She is a licensed aesthetician and has a background as a makeup artist. Her artistry also extends to photography, painting, and all things creative! She will greet you with a warm smile on her face and can always help you pull up your Alle points.
