What isAvéli Cellulite Treatment?

While cellulite may look like a surface issue, it's actually caused by tight connective tissues underneath the surface that result in the skin being pulled inward. The only real way to eliminate the appearance of cellulite is to release the tension in these tissues, known as septa bands, resulting in smooth, dimple free skin. Avéli® Cellulite Treatment is an incredibly innovative technology that is used by our skilled provider to manually release the septa bands from the inside for stunningly smooth results. Minimally-invasive and FDA approved, Avéli is extremely safe and equally as effective.

Avéli Cellulite TreatmentBenefits

If cellulite has been holding you back from wearing the clothing or swimsuits you want to, Avéli Cellulite Treatment offers a real, proven solution. Avéli is a simple, non-surgical method that effectively reduces cellulite on the buttocks, hips, thighs, and anywhere else cellulite can be found. The outstanding benefits of Avéli include:

  • No more spending money on inevitably ineffective DIY treatments
  • Minimal downtime, compression garments given as part of cellulite package
  • Minimally invasive, with options for sedation for patient comfort
  • Targets the root cause of cellulite rather than just treating the surface
  • FDA-approved and low-risk
  • Treatment performed by Dr. Russo, Harvard-trained Boston plastic surgeon

Avéli Cellulite TreatmentCandidates

Our Boston Avéli Cellulite Treatment candidates are typically seeking to reduce the appearance of cellulite on the buttocks, hips, and thighs. Ideal candidates are those who may have tried other methods without success and are looking for a more targeted, long-lasting solution. While this treatment is meant to address cellulite and can be used in addition to other procedures, it does not treat skin laxity, fat pockets, or other similar concerns. Patients who are interested in addressing those issues as well will benefit from a comprehensive treatment plan that includes other kinds of treatment. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, blood clotting disorders, or women who are pregnant should avoid this treatment.

Consultation and Preparation

Patients can see the difference with Dr. Joseph Russo from consultation through follow-up. Dr. Russo has been performing manual cellulite removal via other, less advanced methods for over 30 years. He has a deep understanding of cellulite and recognizes that no cream or injection will give you results like this. With the innovation of Avéli, Dr. Russo has fine-tuned cellulite treatment plans for his patients and consistently delivers outstanding results.

At your consultation with Dr. Russo, he and his staff will discuss your aesthetic goals, learn about your health history, and decide if you are an ideal candidate for Avéli Cellulite Treatment. If complementary treatments will also be included, those will be part of your personalized treatment plan. There is no specific preparation needed prior to your appointment but we do recommend staying well hydrated and avoid any blood thinning medications, including over the counter.

Procedure

During your appointment, the treatment area will be cleansed and marked with reference lines for accuracy. A local anesthetic will be used, and small, carefully placed incisions will be made to allow the instrument to enter through the skin. The Avéli device is then delicately utilized just beneath the skin's surface to cut the septa tissue and release the cellulite dimples. The entire Avéli procedure usually takes about an hour to complete.

Results, Recovery,and Aftercare

Most Boston Avéli Cellulite Treatment patients experience some tenderness after their appointment, but little to no downtime is needed. They typically return to regular daily activities within about 24 to 48 hours. Some results are visible immediately, but final results can typically be seen about one month post-procedure.
