So you just set up an appointment with Dr. Russo and you’re about to have a personal consultation regarding your cosmetic surgery preferences and goals. Here’s a bird’s eye view of what to expect during your initial visit at our Boston cosmetic surgery practice!
By and large, the consultation will begin with your concerns about your appearance. Would you like to enhance the appearance of your breasts with a breast augmentation? Or is there something in your face that you’re currently bothered about? Is it the current status of your skin that you want to improve on? Afterwards, you will be asked to change into comfortable robes or gown for a thorough physical assessment and examination. Photographs may be taken.
After the physical examination and a thorough review of your medical records (if you have them handy), recommendations will be provided such as whether a surgical or a non-invasive approach will suit you best. Tips for preparing and recovering well, including possible risks, complications, possible outcomes, and costs will also be discussed.
