What is Microblading?
Also referred to as eyebrow etching, embroidery, or feathering, microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow enhancement procedure that brings patients beautiful, striking brows that can last up to 18 months. At our practice in Boston microblading is used to reconstruct, redefine, and reimagine the appearance of nearly any patient’s brows in a way that looks and feels natural.
What is the Microblading Process Like?
Before a microblading procedure begins, each patient must meet with our certified microblading Boston Nurse, Lori Phoenix, to discuss their specific aesthetic goals for treatment. This includes discussions of what eyebrow pigmentation, shape, and thickness they want to achieve. During this process, Lori can recommend which eyebrow shape and pigment she thinks would work best with the patient’s unique skin tone and facial shape. She will also discuss important post-procedure precautions that the patient must take in order to ensure that the results of their microblading procedure are long-lasting.
Before treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the brows. This ensures that patients remain as comfortable as possible throughout the length of the microblading procedure. During treatment, Lori carefully applies pigment to the brows in careful strokes that look nearly identical to eyebrow hairs. This meticulous process is done slowly and deliberately to ensure that patients obtain beautiful, natural-looking brows.
This service also includes a touch-up treatment performed four to six weeks after the original microblading procedure. Following this touch-up, maintenance treatments should be scheduled every six to twelve months to keep the brows looking bold and beautiful.
What are the Benefits of Microblading?
Many women spend a great deal of time every day plucking or filling in their eyebrows. While this can lead to aesthetically appealing brows, this daily maintenance can become time-consuming and frustrating very quickly.
With microblading, women are able to achieve beautiful, defined-looking brows that can last for a year or more. Best of all, the results of this procedure are significantly easier to maintain than eyebrow extensions and last for much longer.
