What is BodyTite?

Many people close to their goal weight still find they struggle with pockets of stubborn fat and excessive skin, despite diet and exercise. BodyTite represents a minimally-invasive treatment that works to sculpt your body through its cutting-edge technology. The BodyTite device uses a technique called radio frequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to stiffen fat in your target areas before removal.

At the same time, BodyTite tightens the fibers in your skin, which can create the slimming effect you’ve been wanting. BodyTite works by using directional radiofrequency (RF) to create heat both above and below your skin, allowing it to tighten skin even as it removes fat. Boston plastic surgeon Joseph Russo, M.D., uses innovative treatments like Sofwave to address skin issues. Dr. Russo understands any frustration you may be experiencing and can help you find a solution to improve your self-esteem.

BODYTITE Procedure

This treatment is an outpatient procedure, and you should be able to return home the same day. Depending on which area(s) you have treated, the time for the procedure will vary. Generally speaking, it can last up to two hours. Dr. Russo will begin by giving you a local anesthetic to numb your target area(s). He will then use the BodyTite device, which has a handpiece connected to two small probes which transmit radiofrequency (RF). Dr. Russo makes a tiny incision on your skin to insert one of the probes. The second one is kept on the top of your skin.

From here, Dr. Russo will move the handpiece along your targeted areas. This sends an electrical current between the probes, allowing the RF frequencies to heat the fatty tissues. It also stimulates the growth of collagen, which causes the skin to tighten. After your fat has been warmed and begins to coagulate, Dr. Russo will suck out the fat through a small tube (cannula). Once the target area(s) have been treated, he will close the incision.

BodyTite FAQ

If you would like to improve sagging skin and eliminate fat on your face without an extended recovery time from surgery, FaceTite may be the best solution for you. This procedure allows you to treat every area of your face, including your eyelids, around your eyes, eyebrows, jowls, jawline, neck, cheeks, and fat deposits. Best of all, results are immediately visible.

Not really. During the procedure, your target area will be numb. Afterward, there may be some soreness and mild pain due to swelling and possible bruising, but you can take over-the-counter pain relievers to help reduce your discomfort.

FaceTite treatment costs change according to how many areas you decide to have treated and if you combine FaceTite with other procedures. Because this is considered an elective procedure, your insurance will not cover the costs and you will be responsible for payment.

Fortunately, there are financing options available, as well as payment plans, so make sure to ask about them during your consultation.
